Nick was such a caring and fun person, enjoyed life, worked hard, and was always there for his family and friends. His struggles began during his high school years and sadly, he lost his battle with addiction just a short year after graduating with his class. Nick was a person of strong character, determined, always believed, and always persevered despite his high school environment which he struggled so desperately to overcome. He proudly wore this “Always Believe” shirt at graduation in celebration of enduring his high school experience, and learning to navigate the pitfalls of a troubled environment of prevalent substance abuse. We can only imagine the difference that a recovery high school such as Phoenix Academy would have made during his journey. Our family searched to no avail for a place just like this, where he could learn in a safe environment and where the teachers and students were sober, well trained, understanding, and supportive of his needs. This is the reason why we are honored to support the Phoenix Recovery Academy and the differences they’re making in the lives of so many. We believe deeply in their mission. Not only are they supporting the students, but they are touching the lives of all of their friends and families as well. We do this in memory of Nick, as we know his legacy of helping others is one we will so proudly continue. If he can continue to make a difference in the lives of those who face the same struggles, that’s a true tribute to a life well lived. Nick is deeply loved, dearly missed, and always remembered.
Always Believe,
The McGinnis Family
